“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” - Steve Jobs
That principal has always driven my design style. If a space looks great, but it doesn’t serve the intended user well, it’s not good design. Design needs to both look and function beautifully.
When it comes to Airbnb design, this principal is particularly important because when your guest is happy with their stay, you are more likely to receive 5-star glowing reviews, repeat business and more revenue. Most Airbnb owners focus on how many guests they can sleep, but they often miss the fact that the home must also be a comfortable place for each of those guests to enjoy. For example, if your home can sleep 12 people, but you only have enough seating for four to sit comfortably together in the living room, that is not a space that is designed to serve your guests well.
I focus on making sure that all aspects of the space design serves the maximum number of guests allowed while also creating an eye-catching, photo-worthy space. My goal is always to create jaw-dropping Airbnbs that wow guests and keep them returning again and again.
I received my B.F.A. in Design from the University of Connecticut and look forward to working with you to either design your Airbnb from scratch or redesign it to generate more revenue and a higher occupancy rate.
